Word For Today – Mighty
Scripture
“For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe.” Deuteronomy 10:17 ESV
Devotion – Our God Is Mighty
Today, reflect on the word “Mighty.” As this new day begins, declare that God is Mighty, supreme over every earthly and heavenly power. No authority, obstacle, fear, or false idol is greater than our God. Because God is Mighty, sovereign, and just, we can rest in God’s power and find hope and peace in God’s rule. Through our relationship with Jesus Christ and the daily leading of the Holy Spirit, God transforms us from within. As we trust our Mighty God, our thoughts, words, and actions increasingly reflect the character of Christ.
Reflection
What situation, fear, or obstacle have I allowed to appear greater than God? Today, how can I live differently because I know that God is Mighty?
Call to Action
🌄Declare: God is Mighty over everything I face today.
🌄Release: Surrender one fear or concern that has competed for your trust.
🌄Trust: Rest in God’s sovereignty instead of trying to control every outcome.
🌄Follow: Listen for the Holy Spirit’s guidance before you respond or make decisions.
🌄Reflect: Let your words and actions demonstrate the character of Christ.
Pray
Mighty God, thank You for the gift of this new day. You are God of gods and Lord of lords, great, Mighty, awesome, sovereign, and just. In Jesus’ name, I surrender every fear, obstacle, uncertainty, and concern that has competed for my trust. Remind me that nothing I encounter today is greater than You. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, transform my thoughts, words, choices, and actions so that my life increasingly reflects Jesus Christ. Help me walk with confidence, not because of my own strength, but because I belong to the Mighty God. May Your power give me courage, Your sovereignty give me peace, and Your presence give me hope throughout this day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
