Word For Today – Assurance
Scripture
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.”
Hebrews 10:22 ESV.
Devotion – Draw Near with Full Assurance
Today, I reflect on the word “Assurance.” I thank God for the gift of a new day and for the blessed “Assurance” that, in Jesus’ name, I can draw near to God through prayer, reflection, devotion, and worship. We do not have to run to the things of this world for our ultimate answers, comfort, or strength. Because of Jesus Christ, we are invited to come confidently into God’s presence. Christ’s sacrifice has opened the way for us to approach God with a sincere heart and full “Assurance” of faith. And through the daily counsel of the Holy Spirit, God guides, comforts, strengthens, and reminds us that we belong to God. Today, draw near. Receive God’s grace with an open heart. Walk forward with “Assurance,” trusting God with the hope, grace, and opportunities this new day brings.
Reflection
We do not have to remain trapped by guilt, shame, fear, or the mistakes of yesterday. God’s grace welcomes us. God’s love surrounds us. What would change in my life today if I truly approached God with full “Assurance” that I am welcomed, forgiven, loved, and heard?
Call to Action
🦋Draw near: Begin today with “Assurance” spending time in God’s presence.
🦋Release guilt: Give yesterday’s failures and regrets to God and receive the grace.
🦋Listen: Pay attention to the counsel and prompting of the Holy Spirit.
🦋Walk confidently: Face today’s opportunities with faith rather than fear.
🦋Offer “Assurance:” Encourage someone today with the reminder of God’s love.
Pray
Gracious God, thank You for the gift of this new day and for the blessed “Assurance” I have through Jesus Christ. Thank You that I can draw near to You with a sincere heart and confidence in Your love. Cleanse my heart from guilt, fear, doubt, and anything that keeps me distant from You. Through the Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, strengthen my faith, comfort my heart, and direct my steps. Help me trust Your grace and receive the hope and opportunities You have placed before me today. May I walk in full “Assurance” that I am welcomed into Your presence, covered by Your grace, and held securely in Your love. Use my life to encourage others to draw near to You with confidence and faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
