The Word For Today – Live
Scripture
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 ESV
Devotion – Live by Faith, Christ Lives in Me
Today, I reflect on the word “Live.” I thank God for Jesus Christ and for the new life I now “Live” in, with, and through faith in God. Each day, I continue to “Live” and grow through the counsel, comfort, and direction of the Holy Spirit. When we say yes to following Christ, our former sinful identity is crucified with Him. We are no longer defined by who we were, what we have done, or the approval of others. In Christ, we “Live” as new creations—redeemed, restored, and guided by the truth of God’s Word. Now we “Live” with a renewed focus. We are not driven by the pressure to earn God’s acceptance but by ongoing trust in God’s amazing grace. Christ shapes our thoughts, choices, relationships, and purpose. Because Christ lives in us, we can “Live” each day knowing that we are deeply loved.
Reflection
We do not have to “Live” controlled by my past, the expectations of others, or fear about my future. Christ lives in me. His presence gives me a new identity, His grace gives me freedom, and His Spirit gives me strength to “Live” faithfully today.Through Jesus Christ, we have a hope that is steady, secure, and renewed daily. Whatever today brings, we can “Live” by faith with confidence, gratitude, and hope.What would change in my life today if I fully embraced the truth that Christ lives in me?
Call to Action

🙏🏽”Live” by grace: Release the pressure to earn the acceptance from others.

🙏🏽”Live” with purpose: Show Christ in your words, choices, kindness, and service.
🙏🏽”Live” with gratitude: Thank Jesus for loving and saving you.
Pray
Gracious God, thank You for Jesus Christ and for the gift of this new day. Thank You that through Christ I have been given a new life to “Live.” Help me release the past, the need for human approval, and every burden that keeps me from walking freely in Your grace. Holy Spirit, counsel, comfort, guide, and strengthen me. Teach me to “Live” by faith and not by fear, trusting that Christ lives in me. Shape my thoughts, guide my choices, direct my steps, and use my life to reflect Your love. Today, may I “Live” with confidence, gratitude, hope, and purpose, remembering that Jesus loved me and gave Himself for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
