Scripture
“Rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”  Colossians 2:7 ESV

Devotion – Rooted and Growing in Christ
Today, I reflect on the word “Rooted.” My spiritual life is rooted in Jesus Christ as I remain deeply connected to Jesus, build my faith on God’s truth, and respond with a thankful heart to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. When our faith is rooted in Christ, we become firm, stable, and grounded in the truth of the Gospel.  When we are “Rooted” in Christ we are deeply spiritual and willingly stand strong against deception, false teaching, and life’s changing circumstances. As we remain “Rooted” in Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit, gratitude overflows through joy, praise, and thanksgiving to God.

Reflection
How deeply am I “Rooted” in Christ? When challenges, distractions, or conflicting voices arise, am I grounded enough in God’s Word to remain faithful? Today, may I strengthen my roots through prayer, Scripture, obedience, and thanksgiving.
