Word For Today – Faith

Scripture
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”
Romans 10:17 ESV

Devotion – Faith Comes by Hearing
Today, I reflect on “Faith.” I thank God, in Jesus’ name, for the gift of faith received when I said yes to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith grows as we seek God’s presence and intentionally fill our hearts and minds with Scripture. Hearing the Word of Christ is more than receiving audible words; it is listening with an open heart, receiving God’s truth, believing it, and applying it to our lives. As we obey God and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, our trust deepens, our faith grows stronger, and our lives become living expressions of what we believe.

Reflection
Am I simply hearing God’s Word, or am I allowing what I hear to strengthen my faith and transform how I live?

Call to Action
🙏🏽Hear — In “Faith” spend intentional time reading and listening to God’s Word.
🙏🏽Receive — In “Faith” open your heart to the truth God is revealing.
🙏🏽Believe — In “Faith” trust God’s promises even when you cannot see the outcome.
🙏🏽Obey — In “Faith” follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
🙏🏽Practice — In “Faith” put your “Faith” into action through your words, choices, and relationships.

Pray
Gracious God, thank You for the gift of this new day and for the Faith I have received through Jesus Christ. Open my ears to hear Your Word and my heart to receive Your truth. Help me not only to listen but to believe, obey, and apply Your Word to my daily life. When doubts arise, strengthen my trust in You. When circumstances challenge what I believe, remind me that You are faithful and Your promises are sure. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, decisions, words, and actions so that my life reflects a growing and active faith. May I walk confidently with You today, trusting Your presence, power, grace, and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
