Word For Today – Send
Scripture
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.’” Isaiah 6:8 ESV
Devotion – Sent with Purpose
Today, I reflect on my response to God’s call to “Send” me. I am called by God, in Jesus’ name, to step into each new day living out my God-breathed, Holy Spirit–guided purpose. When I thank God and surrender my day by saying, “Send me,” I am volunteering for divine mission and service, choosing obedience over comfort and commitment over hesitation. Each morning becomes a sacred invitation to be used by God for God’s glory. Saying “Send me” is not about having all the answers; it is about having a willing heart. God does not require perfection God desires availability. When we offer ourselves fully, God equips us with everything needed to fulfill God’s purpose.
Reflection
Let us respond today with open hearts, saying, “Lord, here I am Send me.” May we offer our availability over ability, trusting that God cleanses, guides, and equips us for service as we stand daily in God’s presence. Where is God calling you to go today, physically, spiritually, or relationally? What would change if you began your day by simply saying, “Lord, send me”? Consider how your willingness can open doors for God to work through your life in ways you may not expect.
Call to Action
☀️Begin today with a simple prayer: “Lord, here I am, Send me.”
☀️Be attentive to opportunities to serve others throughout your day.
☀️Choose obedience even when it feels uncomfortable or uncertain.
☀️Trust the Holy Spirit to guide your words, actions, and decisions.
☀️Encourage someone today as an act of being “sent” by God.
Pray
Gracious God, Thank You for calling me into Your purpose. Today, I surrender my plans and open my heart to Your will. Lord, here I am—send me. Lead me where You desire, and give me the courage to follow without hesitation. Cleanse my heart, guide my steps, and equip me through the power of the Holy Spirit. Use my life for Your glory, that others may see Your love through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
