Word For Today – Strength
Scripture
“He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.”
Isaiah 40:29 ESV
Devotion – When Our Strength Runs Out, God’s Strength Renews Us
Today, I reflect on the word “Strength.” I thank God for being my unfailing source of strength and hope. Unlike human strength, God’s power never diminishes, grows weary, or runs out. When we are physically exhausted, emotionally overwhelmed, or spiritually drained, God promises to renew us. Through Jesus Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we receive strength beyond our own abilities. We do not have to carry life’s burdens alone. Even when challenges seem greater than our capacity to endure, God’s presence sustains us. When our strength runs out, God’s strength is more than enough!
Reflection
Are you trying to face life’s challenges in your own strength, or are you trusting God to renew and sustain you? Remember, weakness is not the end of your story. It can become an opportunity to experience God’s sustaining power. When we reach the limits of our strength, we discover the limitless power of God!

Pray
Gracious and Almighty God, thank You for being my strength, my hope, and my ever-present help. When I grow weary, remind me that Your power never fails. When life’s burdens become overwhelming, teach me to lean on You rather than depend solely on my own abilities. Through Jesus Christ, renew my faith, restore my hope, and strengthen my spirit. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, words, and actions so that I may walk confidently in God’s promises. Help me recognize when I need to rest, surrender my worries, and trust Your unfailing presence. Give strength to those who are physically exhausted, emotionally burdened, or spiritually discouraged. May we find renewed courage and peace in knowing that You are always with us. Lord, let Your strength sustain us today and every day. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
