Word For Today – Shaken

Scripture
“I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.”  Psalm 16:8 ESVDevotion –  Anchored in God, I Will Not Be Shaken!
Today, I thank God for the gift of a new day and boldly declare, in Jesus’ name, “God is my shield, and I will not be Shaken!” Life’s uncertainties, worries, and fears may challenge our faith, but they cannot overcome God’s faithful presence. When we keep our hearts and minds focused on God, we find strength, hope, protection, and refuge. Through the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can stand firm, trusting that God walks beside us. Whatever challenges arise, let us remain anchored in Christ, confident that God’s love and promises will never fail.

Reflection
What circumstances are threatening to shake your faith today? Are you allowing fear, worry, or distractions to overshadow God’s promises? Remember, being unshaken does not mean living without challenges. It means trusting God’s presence and faithfulness in the midst of them. When God is your foundation, life’s storms do not have the final word.

Pray
Gracious and Faithful God, thank You for the blessing of a new day and the assurance that You are always by my side. In Jesus’ name, I declare that You are my refuge, my strength, my protector, and my shield. When life’s circumstances threaten to shake my faith, remind me that Your presence is constant and Your promises never fail. Help me release every worry, fear, and distraction that draws my attention away from You. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, strengthen my heart, and direct my steps according to God’s will and ways. Teach me to stand firm in faith, walk confidently in Your promises, and encourage others through my words and actions. Whatever this day brings, I trust You completely. I will not be shaken because my hope is anchored in You. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
