Word For Today – Worthy

Scripture
“So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
Colossians 1:10 ESV

Devotion – Walk Worthy
Today, I reflect on the word “Worthy.” I thank God for the gift of a new day and another opportunity to live in a way that reflects God’s character, values, and love. In Jesus’ name and through the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit, may we desire to please God in every area of our lives. Walking “Worthy” means honoring God through our words, choices, attitudes, and actions. As we faithfully follow Christ, our lives bear visible fruit through kindness, service, integrity, compassion, and good works that bless others.

Reflection
Walking “Worthy” is not about earning God’s love or becoming perfect. It is about responding faithfully to the grace we have received through Jesus Christ. Each day gives us another opportunity to represent God well. As we follow the Holy Spirit, our lives should increasingly reveal Christ’s presence within us. May others see the fruit of our faith and experience God’s love through the way we live.

✝️Ask God to show you one area of your life that needs to reflect Christ more clearly.
✝️Choose words, attitudes, and actions today that honor God.
✝️Look for an opportunity to demonstrate kindness, compassion, integrity, or service.
✝️Pray for the Holy Spirit to help you bear fruit through every good work.
✝️Commit to growing deeper in your knowledge and relationship with God.

Pray
Gracious God, thank You for the gift of this new day and for Your unfailing love. Help me to walk “Worthy” of You, seeking to please You in my words, choices, attitudes, and actions. In Jesus’ name, guide me by the Holy Spirit so that my life bears fruit that reflects Your goodness. Give me a compassionate heart, integrity in my decisions, and a willingness to serve others. Continue to deepen my knowledge of You and strengthen my relationship with You. May my life point others toward Christ, and may everything I do bring honor and glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
