Word For Today – Joy

Scripture
“Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”  John 16:24 ESV

Devotion – Fullness of Joy
Today, I reflect on the word “Joy.” I thank God for the gift of a new day and another opportunity to seek God through prayer, reflection, and devotion. Jesus invites us to pray in His name and trust God with our needs and desires. As we grow closer to God, we discover that true “Joy” is not dependent on our circumstances. Through the Holy Spirit, God fills us with peace, strengthens our faith, and reminds us of God’s promises. May we abide in Christ today and receive the full, deep, and unshakable Joy that only God can give.

Reflection
Where am I looking for joy today? Am I depending on circumstances to make me joyful, or am I abiding in Christ and trusting God to fill me with lasting joy?

Call to Action
☀️Pray in Jesus’ name and honestly share your needs and desires with God.
☀️Seek God’s presence before allowing today’s circumstances to determine your “Joy.”
☀️Trust the Holy Spirit to guide you throughout this new day.
☀️Remember one promise of God that gives you “Joy”  and peace.
☀️Share God’s “Joy” by encouraging someone who needs hope today.

Pray
Gracious God, thank You for the gift of this new day and for the fullness of Joy found in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, I bring my prayers, needs, hopes, and desires before You, trusting that You hear me. Help me to abide in Christ and not depend upon changing circumstances for my joy. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, words, decisions, and actions today. Fill my heart with peace, strengthen my faith, and remind me of Your promises when difficulties arise. May the joy You give overflow through my life so that I may encourage others and glorify You. Let Your deep and unshakable joy remain within me throughout this day and in every circumstance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
