Devotion – A Heart of Wisdom
Today I reflect on the word “Heart.” As I welcome this new day and give thanks to God in the name of Jesus Christ, I seek the daily prompting and guidance of the Holy Spirit and pray for a “Heart” of wisdom. Every new day is a gift from God, offering fresh opportunities to grow in faith, love, and faithful service. A “Heart” of wisdom is more than knowledge or intelligence; it is a heart shaped by God’s truth, guided by the Holy Spirit, and surrendered to the will of Christ. Wisdom teaches us to see life from God’s perspective, helping us make sound decisions, nurture stronger relationships, and remain centered on God’s eternal purposes rather than temporary distractions. Psalm 90 reminds us that our days are precious and limited. When we recognize the value of each day, we become more intentional about how we live, love, forgive, serve, and worship. A “Heart” of wisdom encourages us to invest in what has lasting, eternal value. It calls us to choose kindness over bitterness, peace over conflict, generosity over selfishness, and faith over fear. Let the Holy Spirit shape our thoughts, words, and actions so that every decision reflects the love of Christ. May our lives become living testimonies of God’s wisdom at work within us, bringing hope, encouragement, and compassion to everyone we encounter.
Reflection
As we walk through today, may our hearts be continually transformed by God’s grace. A heart of wisdom is cultivated one day at a time through prayer, Scripture, obedience, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. When we intentionally seek God’s wisdom, our hearts become aligned with God’s purposes, and our lives reflect what truly matters both now and for eternity.

Pray
Gracious and loving God, thank You for the gift of this new day. In the name of Jesus Christ, give me a heart of wisdom that seeks Your will above all else. Fill me with the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit so that my thoughts, words, and actions honor You. Teach me to value each day as a sacred opportunity to grow in faith, serve others with love, and live according to Your eternal purposes. Shape my heart to reflect the character of Christ, making me a witness of Your grace, hope, peace, and wisdom wherever I go. May my life bring You praise, honor, and glory today and always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
