Word For Today – Establish
Scripture:
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
1 Peter 5:10 ESV
Devotion – Established by Grace
Devotion:
Today I know it is God who has and will “Establish” me both now and forever. I give thanks to God, in Jesus’ name, for this message of hope. God remains our constant source of grace, restoration, and strength. Even in seasons of uncertainty or hardship, let us be reminded that what we face is temporary, but what God is building in us is eternal. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, God is actively at work, restoring what was broken, confirming what God has spoken, strengthening where we feel weak, and God will “Establish” a firm foundation of faith in us. This divine work is not dependent on individual perfection, but on God’s faithfulness.
Reflection:
God is not only bringing us through trials, but using them to anchor and “Establish” a deeper understanding of God’s truth. God will “Establish” a deep rooted in faith, grounded in love, and positioned to reflect God’s glory in every part of our life. What areas of your life feel unstable or uncertain today? Consider how God may be using this season to strengthen and establish your faith. Trust that God’s work within you is intentional and lasting.
Call to Action
🦋Trust God’s process, to “Establish” you even when you don’t fully understand it.
🦋Invite the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in areas of weakness.
🦋Reflect on past moments where God has restored and sustained you.
🦋Stand firm in faith, knowing God is establishing you for His purpose.
🦋Encourage someone else today with a reminder of God’s faithfulness.
Pray
Gracious God, I thank You for being the One who restores, confirms, strengthens, and establishes me. In every season, You remain faithful. When I feel weak or uncertain, remind me that You are building something unshakable within me. Through Your Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, actions, and decisions so that my life reflects Your love and truth. Help me to trust Your timing and rest in Your promises, knowing that what You establish cannot be undone. Thank You for Your grace that sustains me and Your power that strengthens me. I surrender this day to You, confident that You are establishing me according to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
