Devotion – Living Ready for God’s Purpose
Today I reflect on what it means to be spiritually “Ready.” As I begin a new day, I am grateful for the opportunity to spend time in God’s presence through reflection and prayer. Being “Ready” means intentionally living with consistent integrity, faithfulness, and obedience, following the example of Jesus Christ and relying on the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit. To be spiritually “Ready” is not about fear or anxiety; it is about living with expectation and trus in God. It means keeping our hearts aligned with God’s will, our minds focused on God’s promises, and our actions reflecting God’s love. Every day presents opportunities to serve, encourage, and witness to others. When we remain connected to God through prayer, Scripture, and faithful living, we position ourselves to recognize and respond to God’s leading. Jesus teaches us to be prepared, not because we know what tomorrow holds, but because we trust the One who holds tomorrow. As followers of Christ, we are called to live each day with purpose, readiness, and hope. The Holy Spirit equips us to remain faithful, even while we wait. We can find comfort knowing that God is at work in our lives, preparing us for every blessing, challenge, and opportunity that lies ahead.
Today, let us embrace a posture of readiness, trusting God completely and faithfully serving as examples of Christ in our homes, communities, and places of ministry. Be “Ready” for God’s blessings in this new day.
