Devotion – Enriched to Be a Blessing
Today, I reflect on the word “Enriched.” I am “Enriched” as I acknowledge that I am blessed to be a blessing to others. God does not enrich our lives simply so that we can accumulate more for ourselves. God blesses us so that His goodness can flow through us into the lives of others. Proverbs 11:25 reminds us of a beautiful spiritual principle: “Whoever brings blessing will be enriched.” Generosity is right in God’s sight, and when we live generously, we experience a freedom that releases us from the fear of not having enough. In Jesus’ name, we can trust that the God who provides for us will to sustain us as we faithfully share what God has placed in our hands.Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are “Enriched” as we generously offer our time, resources, encouragement, gifts, presence, and care to help others. Generosity is not measured only by how much money we give. Sometimes the greatest gift we can offer is our time. Sometimes it is a listening ear. Sometimes it is an encouraging word, a prayer, a meal, an act of kindness, or simply showing up when someone needs us. Something wonderful happens when we live this way: we are enriched too. Consider what is already in your hands. You may have more to give than you realize. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal one person who needs what God has uniquely equipped you to offer.
Reflection
We experience the emotional and spiritual blessings of hope and joy because we know our lives are reflecting God’s loving plan. When someone else is “Enriched through our obedience to God, generosity creates a cycle of flourishing rather than a mindset of lack. How has God enriched my life, and how can I use what God has given me to enrich someone else today?
Call to Action
🌄Recognize you are “Enriched.” blessings. Thank God for a new day.
🌄Ask the Holy Spirit for direction. Invite God to show you someone you can bless.
🌄Give beyond finances. Offer time, encouragement, presence, resources, or care.
🌄Reject a mindset of lack. Trust God as your source and provider.
🌄Create a cycle of flourishing. Pour something positive into another person’s life.
🌄Give with joy. Let generosity be an expression of gratitude rather than obligation.
🌄Be enriched by enriching others. Receive the joy that comes from knowing God has used you to make a positive difference.
Pray
Gracious and generous God, Thank You for the gift of this new day and for the many ways You have enriched my life. Thank You for every blessing, opportunity, gift, relationship, and resource You have entrusted to me. In Jesus’ name, free me from the fear of not having enough and teach me to trust You as my faithful source and provider. Holy Spirit, guide me today. Show me where I can offer my time, resources, encouragement, gifts, presence, and care to someone who needs them. Give me a generous heart that recognizes that I am blessed to be a blessing. Lord, let my generosity reflect Your love. As I pour into others, nourish and strengthen me so that I may continue serving with joy, hope, compassion, and faith. May those I encounter today be enriched because I have listened to You and faithfully responded. Let my life become part of a beautiful cycle of flourishing, blessed by You, blessing others, and bringing glory to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
