And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us.  1 John 5:14 ESV

Devotion – God Hears Every Prayer
Today I pause in reflection and gratitude, celebrating the assurance that God “Hears” me and “Hears” us. I thank You, God, for the gift of another day, for both waking and resting in the confidence that I can approach You boldly in prayer. I am grateful for Jesus Christ, whose saving work gives me access to the Father, and for the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit, who leads, comforts, and sustains me.  What a blessing to know that God not only hears every prayer but also listens with perfect love, wisdom, and compassion. God responds according to God’s perfect will, which is always greater than anything we could imagine. This truth reminds us that prayer is not merely about presenting our requests; it is about allowing God to shape our hearts and align our desires with God’s character, God’s Word, and God’s purpose for our lives. The God who hears us is the God who loves us, walks with us, and always accomplishes what is good, perfect, and complete.

Reflection
As we begin this new day, let us surrender our plans, our worries, and our expectations to God. May we pray with confidence, trusting that every prayer offered in faith is heard by God. Even when the answer is delayed, different than expected, or simply “wait,” we can rest in the assurance that God is faithfully at work.  When I pray today, am I simply asking God to bless my plans, or am I allowing my heart to be transformed so that my desires align with God’s perfect will?

Call to Action
🎆Begin with a prayer of thanksgiving, trusting that God “Hears” you.
🎆Spend time listening as well as speaking during your prayer time.
🎆Surrender one concern or burden to God today and trust God’s perfect timing.
🎆Pray, knowing that God’s  “Hears” and answers with love and wisdom.
🎆Encourage someone today by reminding them that God “Hears” every prayer.

Pray
Gracious and Loving God, thank You for the assurance that You hear every prayer I offer in faith. Thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ, who makes it possible for me to come boldly before You, and for the Holy Spirit, who guides my heart and teaches me to pray according to Your will. Help me to trust Your wisdom above my own understanding. Align my thoughts, my desires, and my actions with Your perfect purpose. Teach me to listen as You speak, to wait with patience, and to walk each day in confident faith. May my life reflect complete trust in the God who always hears, always loves, and always works for good. In the powerful name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
