Devotion – Make Me New Again
Today, I reflect on the word “Renew.” I thank God for the gift of a new day and another opportunity to be renewed in Jesus’ name. True renewal begins within. We cannot transform ourselves simply by changing our behavior or relying on our own strength. Through prayer, reflection, and devotion, we invite God to examine our hearts, realign our motives, and restore our spirits. Guided by the Holy Spirit, let us release whatever has become weary, heavy, or misaligned with God’s will. Today, may we open our hearts to God and pray, “Lord, Renew me and make me new again.”
Reflection
What in my heart, mind, or spirit needs God’s renewal today? Renewal is not simply about starting over; it is allowing God to work within us so that our thoughts, desires, attitudes, and actions increasingly reflect Christ. God invites us to surrender what is worn and weary and receive fresh strength, renewed purpose, and a right spirit.
Call to Action
💖Pause and ask God to examine your heart.
💖Release something that has become heavy, weary, or spiritually distracting.
💖”Renew” your commitment to prayer, Scripture, and daily time with God.
💖Listen for the guidance of the Holy Spirit before making today’s decisions.
💖Pray Psalm 51:10 throughout the day: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
Prayer
Gracious God, thank You for the gift of this new day and another opportunity to be renewed in Your presence. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. In Jesus’ name, I surrender every weary place, heavy burden, wrong motive, and attitude that is not aligned with Your will. Examine my heart and transform me from within. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, words, choices, and actions today. Restore my joy, strengthen my faith, and renew my desire to love and serve You faithfully. Where I have grown tired, give me fresh strength. Where I have wandered, realign my steps. Lord, make me new again so that my life reflects Your grace, love, and goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
