Word For Today – Help

Scripture
“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”  Psalm 121:1–2 ESV

Devotion – My Help Comes From the Lord
Today, I reflect on the word “Help.” I thank God for the gift of a new day and for the assurance that my true help, strength, and protection come from the Lord. My help is not dependent upon worldly sources, changing circumstances, or what I can accomplish in my own strength. My “Help” comes from the Creator of heaven and earth. Through Jesus Christ, I can confidently lift my eyes toward God, trusting God to strengthen me when I am weak, protect me when life feels uncertain, and guide me through the Holy Spirit.

Reflection
Where am I looking for help today? Am I depending primarily on my own strength, other people, or circumstances—or am I lifting my eyes to God? Whatever I face, I can remember that the Creator of heaven and earth is present with me. God is my Help.
