Word For Today – Revive
Scripture
“After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him.” Hosea 6:2 ESV
Devotion – Revived by God’s Restoring Grace
Today I reflect on the word “Revive.” I thank God, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the gift of this new day and for the opportunity to gather in worship, grow in community, and receive God’s life-giving Word. Every new day is an invitation to experience God’s restoring grace and renewing presence. No matter what yesterday held, God offers fresh mercy and the promise of new beginnings. The prophet Hosea reminds us that God is a God of restoration. God’s desire is not to leave us discouraged, broken, or spiritually weary, but to breathe new life into every place that has become dry, scattered, or exhausted. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have the assurance that God is continually bringing healing, hope, and transformation into our lives. When we turn wholeheartedly to God, we discover that we are never without help. The Holy Spirit faithfully walks beside us each day, comforting us in times of sorrow, strengthening us in moments of weakness, correcting us with love, and leading us into God’s truth. The Spirit revives our faith, renews our purpose, and restores our joy so that we may faithfully reflect Christ in every aspect of our lives. As God revives us, we are empowered to live with honor, hope, and confidence before Him. Our renewed hearts become vessels of God’s grace, extending compassion, encouragement, forgiveness, and love to those around us.
Reflection
A revived believer not only experiences personal renewal but also becomes an instrument through whom God brings life and hope to others. Today, may we receive God’s renewing work with grateful hearts and live each moment as witnesses of His restoring power.Where do you need God’s reviving touch in your life today, your faith, your hope, your relationships, or your purpose? Pray
Gracious and Loving God, thank You for being the One who revives, restores, and renews Your people. Thank You for the gift of this new day and for the hope we have through Jesus Christ. Revive every weary place within us. Restore our joy, strengthen our faith, and renew our purpose through the power of the Holy Spirit. Help us to live before You with honor, hope, and confidence, reflecting Your love wherever we go. May our lives become living testimonies of Your healing grace, bringing encouragement and hope to those we meet today. We surrender ourselves completely to You, trusting that You are making all things new. In the powerful and life-giving name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
