Word For Today – Joy

Scripture
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalm 16:11 (ESV)

Devotion – Fullness of Joy in God’s Presence
Today, I reflect and thank God for “Joy.” Each day, I focus on spiritual “Joy” as I seek God’s presence through devotion, prayer, reading Scripture, and serving others. My “Joy” and fulfillment are rooted not in fleeting worldly pleasures, but in the abiding presence of God.  When I set my mind on “Joy,” I am encouraged and strengthened, finding comfort in God even amid life’s unpredictability. Let us focus our hearts today on “Joy,” seeking God’s guidance rather than being consumed by personal ambition. When we choose “Joy” anchored in God’s presence, in Jesus’ name, and in the daily promptings of the Holy Spirit, we receive divine direction that leads to a purposeful day and life.  Intimacy with God brings lasting satisfaction and “Joy” that endures forever.

During this Lenten season, may we declare that “Joy” is found in God’s presence, the ultimate place to begin and end each day. In God’s presence, we discover blessings, hope, confidence, security, and peace, today, tomorrow, and forevermore.  Where am I seeking joy—in temporary circumstances or in the lasting presence of God? How can I intentionally enter into God’s presence today to experience fullness of joy?

Call to Action
🦋Spend  time in God’s presence through prayer and Scripture today.
🦋Choose “Joy” by focusing on God rather than circumstances.
🦋Listen for the Holy Spirit’s guidance in your daily decisions.
🦋Serve someone today as an expression of God’s “Joy” within you.
🦋Declare: “My joy is rooted in God’s presence and not in the world.”

Pray
Gracious and loving God, Thank You for the gift of “Joy” that comes from Your presence. Help me to seek You daily, to rest in Your promises, and to trust in Your guidance. In Jesus’ name, teach me to choose joy even in uncertain moments, knowing that You are my source of strength and peace. Fill my heart with lasting joy that overflows into my words, actions, and service to others. Guide me by Your Holy Spirit, and let my life reflect the fullness of joy found only in You.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
