Devotion – A Holy Fire Within
Today, I reflect on the word “Fire.” God is a consuming fire—holy, powerful, and worthy of our deepest worship and praise. As we spend time in prayer and reflection, God refines our hearts through the Holy Spirit, shaping us to become more caring, loving, obedient, and willing to serve. May God’s holy Fire burn away fear, compromise, and anything that keeps us from fully trusting God. In Jesus’ name, may our lives become faithful offerings of love, obedience, worship, and praise as we walk in reverence and awe before our consuming God.

What needs to be refined or removed from my life so that God’s holy Fire can burn more brightly through me?

Holy and loving God, I thank You for the gift of this new day. You are a consuming Fire, holy, powerful, and worthy of all my worship and praise. In Jesus’ name, ignite within me a holy Fire that draws me closer to You. Through the Holy Spirit, refine my heart and burn away fear, doubt, compromise, and anything that prevents me from trusting You completely. Shape my thoughts, words, and actions so that my life becomes an acceptable offering of love, obedience, worship, and service. May Your presence awaken within me greater reverence and awe. Let the Fire of Your Spirit shine through me so that others may experience Your love, grace, and transforming power. I surrender myself to You today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
