Scripture
“But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”
Romans 8:25 ESV

Devotion – Patience  – Trusting God While We Wait
Today, I reflect on the word “Patience,” a fruit of the Spirit that strengthens our faith and nurtures our hope in Jesus Christ. “Patience” is more than simply waiting; it is trusting God’s faithfulness while confidently expecting God’s promises to unfold. Even when we cannot see what God is doing, we can persevere, knowing God is working according to God’s perfect will and timing. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, let us wait with hope, praise God with grateful hearts, and remain steadfast in faith. Whatever today brings, God is our refuge, hope, and strength.

Reflection
“Patience” is not passive waiting but an active expression of faith and trust in God. When answers seem delayed and circumstances remain uncertain, are we allowing impatience to weaken our faith, or are we trusting God’s perfect timing? Remember, waiting on God is never wasted when our hope remains anchored in  God’s promises.

Pray
Gracious and Faithful God,Thank You for the gift of this new day and for patience, a precious fruit of Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, I thank You for being my refuge, hope, and strength in every circumstance. Lord, teach me to wait with faith rather than frustration, with hope rather than doubt, and with confidence rather than fear.  When Your promises seem delayed, remind me that Your timing is perfect and Your faithfulness never fails. Holy Spirit, strengthen my heart, guide my thoughts, and help me persevere through life’s uncertainties. May my patience reflect my trust in You, and may my waiting become an opportunity to praise, honor, and glorify Your holy name. Help me encourage others to remain steadfast in faith, knowing that You are  always present and working for our good. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
