“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 ESV
Devotion – Let Your Works Reflect Christ
Today I reflect on the word “Works.” I am grateful for this new day and the opportunity to do good “Works” that let my light shine in Jesus’ name through the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, every expression of compassion, and every choice to walk in obedience becomes an opportunity to reveal the love of Christ to the world. Jesus teaches that our good “Works” are not meant to draw attention to ourselves but to point others toward God. As followers of Christ, we are called to live in a way that reflects God’s character. Our actions become a living testimony of God’s transforming grace, demonstrating that Christ is alive and at work within us. The Holy Spirit empowers us to serve with humility, love without expecting recognition, forgive freely, and respond with grace even in difficult circumstances. When our lives consistently reflect the teachings and ways of Jesus, others are encouraged to seek the One who has changed us. May our daily lives become a witness that draws others closer to God, bringing honor and glory to our Heavenly Father.

Today, let us remember that our good “Works” are not performed to earn God’s favor but because we have already received God’s grace through Jesus ChristWhat good work can I intentionally do today that reflects the love of Christ and points someone toward God’s grace rather than toward myself?
Call to Action

🌄Look for an opportunity to shine and serve with kindness and humility.
🌄Let your actions reflect the love, compassion, and character of Jesus.
🌄Perform good “Works” without seeking recognition or praise.
🌄Give God the glory for every opportunity to be a witness of Christ’s love today.
Pray
Gracious God, thank You for the gift of this new day and for the privilege of serving You. In the name of Jesus, fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that my words, attitudes, and actions reflect Your goodness. Help me to live in a way that honors You, allowing my good works to become a testimony of Your love and grace. Keep me humble, faithful, and obedient, seeking Your glory rather than my own. May my life shine with the light of Christ and draw others closer to You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
