Happy Saturday, Peace Be With You!
Scripture
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me… For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ESV
Devotion
Today I’m reflecting on this question: What does it mean to be strong in the Lord?
True strength isn’t found in our own abilities; it is found in our faith in God, especially in moments of weakness and hardship. When we lean on God, in Jesus’ name, and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, we move from simply striving to truly thriving. Strength in the Lord is not about self-sufficiency but about surrender, letting God’s grace fill the gaps where our strength ends. How has God shown His strength in your weakness? Please share your story, contact, tag, text, or email someone who needs this reminder today. We grow stronger together through faith!
Reflection
In seasons when we feel worn down, it’s easy to measure strength by what we can do or how much we can endure. Yet, God calls us to a different kind of strength — one rooted in His grace. When we admit our weaknesses, we make room for the power of Christ to dwell within us. Our circumstances do not limit God’s strength; it is revealed through them. Every challenge, every trial, every moment of surrender becomes a testimony of His power working through us.
Call to Action
🫂Reflect on when God turned your weakness into strength.
🫂Write down one area of your life where you need to lean on God’s strength today.
🫂Encourage someone who is struggling, remind them that God’s grace is sufficient.
🫂Spend time in prayer, ask the Holy Spirit who you can help today, and do it!
Pray
God of Grace, Peace, and Justice, thank You for reminding me that Your grace is more than enough. In my weakness, You are my strength. Teach me to rely not on my own power but on Yours, that I may walk boldly in faith even when I feel weary. Strengthen my heart through the Holy Spirit, and help me to be a light for others who need to see Your power at work. I surrender all to You, trusting that when I am weak, I am truly strong in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
