Advent Blessings and PEACE
Scripture:
“Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.”
John 14:27 ESV
Devotion:
Today, my Advent blessing that I am sharing is this: God’s PEACE is my refuge from fear, anxiety, and life’s trials. Advent invites us to shift our focus from our struggles to a renewed expectation that God is with us, right now, in Jesus’ name. The PEACE of Christ is not the absence of problems; it is the presence of Jesus. It declares that no matter what surrounds us, we are held, strengthened, and guided.
Reflection
Advent is more than a countdown to Christmas; it is a sacred time to practice stillness. In the quiet moments, we remember that peace is not found in circumstances but in communion with Christ. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, to comfort us, teach us, and reveal Him to us each day. Let us release fear into God’s hands and rest in His perfect peace. The peace Jesus gives cannot be shaken; it is steady, eternal, and alive in us. Ask yourself: Where might I be holding onto fear instead of peace? How can I invite the Holy Spirit to help me make decisions from a place of calm and faith today?
Call to Action
☮️Pause three times today to breathe deeply and say, “Jesus, You are my peace.”
☮️Release one fear or worry to God in prayer.
☮️Listen for the Holy Spirit’s gentle voice as truth guides your thoughts and actions.
Pray
Lord Jesus, thank You for being my peace in every storm. Help me to rest in Your presence and trust the work of the Holy Spirit within me. When anxiety rises, remind me that You dwell in me, I am never alone. Let Your peace guard my heart and my mind today and always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
