True Peace That Anchors the Soul

Scripture
“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.”  Colossians 3:15 ESV

Devotion
Today I reflect on the meaning of true Peace. Peace begins internally as we receive God’s Peace and Love, allowing our hearts to be shaped by Christ. From that inner stillness, we are formed into peacemakers—people who echo Jesus’ call to love and live into the promise of the Kingdom of God.  God’s Peace is about living each moment in Christ’s Spirit, creating a ripple effect of understanding and unity. It is the “peace that surpasses all understanding,” rooted in faith rather than circumstances. This Peace is a steady presence that anchors us when the world feels uncertain.

Reflection
As this year draws to a close, God invites us to release lingering worries and rest in divine assurance. Practicing stillness and deep prayer opens space for God’s Peace to rule our hearts. When we trust God with what we cannot control, we discover a calm that holds us steady, no matter what surrounds us.

Call to Action
Release lingering worries from this year into God’s care.
Practice stillness and deep prayer daily.
Trust God with what you cannot control, in Jesus’ name.
Choose gratitude and let Christ’s Peace rule your heart.

Pray
Gracious God, thank You for the Peace that comes from Christ alone. Quiet my heart and steady my mind as I release what I cannot control. Help me to live each day anchored in Your presence, reflecting Your Love and becoming a peacemaker in a restless world. Let Your Peace rule in my heart, now and always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
