New Year’s Eve

Into the New Year

Scripture
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”
Isaiah 43:18–19 ESV

Devotion
As I reflect on this New Year’s Eve, I thank God for 2025 and pray to be a witness in 2026, an ambassador for God, in Jesus’ name, guided by the promptings of the Holy Spirit. God has been faithful through every season, every challenge, and every victory this year. As one chapter closes and another opens, we are reminded that God is always at work, preparing what is next even as we release what has been.  As this year ends, trust that the same faithful God who carried you through 2025 will lead you forward into 2026. God is not finished yet. What lies ahead is shaped by divine purpose, grace, and promise. We step forward not alone, but accompanied by the presence of God, confident that new wine comes from surrendered hearts.

Reflection
Pause and give thanks for how God carried you through 2025. Reflect on what you have learned, how you have grown, and where God showed up in unexpected ways. Release what belongs to the past, and open your heart to what God is doing anew. Prepare to enter the new year with faith, expectation, and bold trust in God’s unfolding work.
