Song of the Day

Word for Today – Gratitude
January 10, 2026

Scripture
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV

Devotion – Gratitude
Today as I reflect and spend time with God, I lift my hands with “Gratitude” for this new day! I lift my voice and hands and say “Hallelujah” a precursor for whatever this day may bring knowing that God is present.  Give thanks in all situations, not necessarily for them, recognizing it as God’s will for us in Jesus Christ, is to be encouraged by trusting God’s presence and purpose through every circumstance. Through the daily power of God, through the gifting of the Holy Spirit, God is our constant.

Reflection
Choose “Gratitude” in 2026, finding reasons to thank God, for strength or future hope, speaking positive spiritual power into each new day.  As you move through today, pause and intentionally practice gratitude. Notice the ways God’s presence shows up—in moments of strength, in unexpected blessings, in the simple gift of another day. When challenges arise, remember that gratitude is not about denying difficulties but about trusting God’s constant presence and purpose through every circumstance. Let your gratitude become a spiritual declaration of faith.

Call to Action

Pray
Gracious God, I come before You today with a heart full of gratitude. Thank You for this new day, for Your constant presence, and for the gift of the Holy Spirit that sustains me through every circumstance. Help me to choose gratitude in 2026, to find reasons to thank You even when the path is uncertain, and to speak Your positive spiritual power into the world around me. I lift my voice and hands in “Hallelujah,” trusting in Your presence and purpose. Let my gratitude become a declaration of faith and a blessing to all I encounter. In Jesus’s name, Amen
