Devotion – Endurance: Holding Steady in God’s Will
Word For Today, January 23, 2026. Today, I reflect on Endurance. I acknowledge my need for patient Endurance to continue doing God’s will through both life’s challenges and its joys. Endurance calls me to live out my faith actively, obeying God’s Word and persevering in the mission God sets before me, rather than waiting passively. Endurance is a call to hold onto confidence, trusting in God’s faithfulness through Jesus Christ, as the Holy Spirit strengthens and guides me. Even in times of hardship, I am reminded that God’s presence never leaves me.

Reflection
True Endurance is not powered by human strength or sheer determination, but by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit and the sustaining grace of God.  Where am I being invited to keep going instead of giving up? Endurance reminds me that faith is not only about starting well, but about continuing faithfully. As I trust God’s promises, I rest in the assurance that obedience, sustained by grace, leads to God’s fulfillment in perfect timing.

Call to Action
Commit
to God’s will, even when progress feels slow.
Choose active faith over passive waiting.
Lean on the Holy Spirit for strength in moments of weariness.
Hold fast to God’s promises with confidence and hope.

Pray
Gracious God, I thank You for Your sustaining presence in my life. Strengthen me with true Endurance, not by my own power, but through the Holy Spirit who lives within me. Help me to continue doing Your will with faith, patience, and confidence in Your promises. When I feel weary, remind me that You are near and that Your grace is sufficient. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
