Word For Today – Seek

Scripture
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”  Matthew 6:33 ESV

Devotion – Seek First
Today, I am reflecting on what it truly means to “Seek” as a priority in my faith walk. To “Seek” God’s will and purposes is to commit to living with moral integrity and spiritual trust, believing that God faithfully provides for every need. Seeking is not passive, it is an active, intentional pursuit of God through prayer, Scripture, worship, and daily decisions that honor God.  When I choose to “Seek” God first, I am led away from worry about material things and into a deeper sense of peace and security, grounded in God’s unchanging faithfulness.

Reflection
To “Seek”  is to live with spiritual focus and purpose, allowing God’s will, in Jesus’ name, to take priority over temporary concerns.   Rest in the assurance of God’s faithful guidance through the Holy Spirit each day.  Ask: What are we prioritizing today, temporary concerns or God’s kingdom? Seeking God daily re-centers my heart, aligns our decisions with God’s righteousness, and reminds me that God is both faithful and sufficient.

Call to Action
✨Seek, God’s direction, through intentional prayer.
✨Spend time in Scripture, listening for God’s voice.
✨Release worry and trust God with your needs.
✨Make choices that reflect God’s kingdom values.
✨Invite the Holy Spirit to guide every decision.

Pray
Gracious God, today I choose to Seek You first. Align my heart with Your will and help me to trust Your provision and faithfulness. Guide my steps by the power of the Holy Spirit, that my life may reflect Your righteousness and peace. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
