Word For Today – Guidance
Scripture
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” Psalm 32:8 ESV
Devotion – Led by God’s Loving Eye
Today’s word is “Guidance.” I proclaim my loyalty to God in Jesus’ name. God’s Guidance is God’s loving promise to personally instruct and teach those who turn to God in Jesus’ name. God does not lead from a distance; God watches over us with a caring eye, gently directing us along the right path. This promise of Guidance is extended to those who humble themselves before God, those who confess their sins, return to God, and desire restored relationship. Through Jesus Christ, we are reconciled to God and assured of the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit, who walks with us daily. God seeks humble, obedient hearts, not forced compliance, but willing trust.
Reflection
God’s Guidance is an invitation to walk closely with Him. When we respond with openness instead of resistance, we discover that God’s direction is always rooted in love, wisdom, and care for our lives. Where might God be gently guiding me right now?
Am I listening with a humble heart, or resisting out of fear or pride? What would change if I fully trusted God’s loving direction today?
Call to Action
⭐Invite God’s “Guidance” into every decision in 2026.
⭐Confess anything that has kept you from listening closely to God.
⭐Choose obedience over resistance, trusting God’s loving care.
⭐Ask the Holy Spirit to help you recognize God’s direction moment by moment.
Pray
Gracious God, I thank You for Your promise to guide me with Your loving eye. I confess the times I have resisted Your direction and chosen my own way. Today, I return my heart to You. Through Jesus Christ, restore me and lead me by Your Holy Spirit. Teach me the way I should go, and give me a humble and obedient heart that delights in Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
