Devotion – Growing Toward Spiritual Maturity
Today, I reflect on what it means to be “Mature” in Christ, in faith, character, and daily practice. I thank God for this new day and the continual opportunity to grow in Jesus. Through prayer and the study of Scripture, I am becoming spiritually “Mature” as I spend time with God each day. By God’s grace and the help of the Holy Spirit, I am also growing in confidence, boldly sharing God’s message and living out Christ’s teachings. Spiritual maturity is more than simply knowing right from wrong; it is learning to align our thoughts, actions, and desires with God’s will. To be “Mature” in Christ is to move beyond spiritual infancy and grow in strength through prayer, worship, mission, and service, living each day to honor God fully. During this Lenten season, we are reminded that growth in Christ requires intentional time with God and a willingness to be shaped by the Holy Spirit.
Reflection
May we continue to “Mature” in Christ, growing deeper in faith, stronger in love, and more faithful in service as we seek to honor God fully, during this Lenten season and beyond. In what ways is God inviting you to grow toward deeper spiritual maturity today? Consider how your daily practices, prayer, worship, service, and study, are shaping you into the likeness of Christ.
