“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

Devotion – A Heart Made Pure by God
Today, I reflect on the spiritual meaning of the word “Pure.” I thank God, who continues to touch my heart as I intentionally seek God’s presence each day. When I keep my focus on the things of God, in Jesus’ name, I know that God is with me. We cannot make our own hearts “Pure.” It is God who, through the Holy Spirit, creates a “Pure” heart within us. As we regularly meditate on Scripture and pray for a “Pure” heart, God is at work shaping us from the inside out. During this Lenten season, may we become more aware of God’s hand transforming our hearts.
Reflection
May we become the blessing of God that flows through hearts that have been made “Pure,” so that others experience God’s love and goodness at work in the world through our words, actions, and relationships. Take a moment to reflect on your heart today. Are there places where you need God’s cleansing, renewal, or guidance? Invite the Holy Spirit to continue shaping your heart so that your life reflects the purity of Christ.
Call to Action
🕊️Spend time with God, asking the Holy Spirit for a “Pure” heart.
🕊️Meditate on Matthew 5:8 and reflect on what it means to have a “Pure” heart.
🕊️Release anything that distracts you from focusing on God’s presence.
🕊️Allow your words and actions to reflect a “Pure” heart of God’s love to others.
🕊️Be a blessing to someone today through kindness, encouragement, or prayer.
Pray
Gracious God, thank You for the work You are doing within my heart. Create in me a pure heart and renew a right spirit within me through the power of the Holy Spirit. Help my thoughts, words, and actions reflect Your love and goodness in the world. May my life be a blessing to others and a witness to Your transforming grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
