Word For Today – Testimony
Scripture:
“So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.” 2 Timothy 1:8 ESV
Devotion – Living as a Bold Testimony
Today I reflect on the spiritual meaning of “Testimony.” I acknowledge, rest in, and live out the “Testimony” revealed in Jesus’ name through the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit. This “Testimony” marks me as a victor over spiritual opposition to God’s plans and purposes for my life. Through trusting Christ and boldly sharing the Gospel, I declare that my “Testimony” is secure in Christ. My “Testimony” is that I am protected from anything that would try to separate me from recognizing and honoring the sacrifice of Jesus. Each day, I renew my confession of faith, placing my full trust in God through Christ Jesus. When we commit to be a living “Testimony” as followers of Christ, surrendering our ways for God’s ways rather than conforming to worldly standards, our eternity begins now. When we choose to live daily in God’s presence, we experience a taste of heaven on earth.
Reflection
During this Lenten season, may we be a living, breathing “Testimony” of Christ, openly declaring our faith and sharing our experiences of God’s presence and power. As we do, may our lives draw others into a personal and transformative relationship with God, in Jesus’ name.In what ways is my life reflecting the testimony of Christ today? Am I boldly sharing what God has done for me, or am I holding back out of fear or uncertainty?

Pray
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of my testimony through Jesus Christ. Help me to live boldly and unashamed, declaring Your goodness and faithfulness in every area of my life. Strengthen me through the Holy Spirit to stand firm against anything that would try to silence my faith. Teach me to surrender fully to Your will and to walk daily in Your presence. May my life be a living testimony that draws others closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
