Word For Today – Secure
Scripture
“LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.” Psalm 16:5 NIV
Devotion – Secure in God’s Promise
Today, I proclaim that I am “Secure” in the Lord. I am “Secure” knowing that God is ever-present and faithful. I rest in the assurance of God’s protection and love through Jesus Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Each day begins and ends with “Secure” confidence in my relationship with God, a confidence filled with hope that does not come from earthly possessions, but from the abiding presence of Jesus. I trust the promptings of the Holy Spirit to guide me through the challenges and choices of daily life. God provides a “Secure” portion of blessings each day, a new cup filled with grace and opportunity to be used in ways that honor and glorify God and offer me purpose. We are “Secure” in Jesus’ name, for God holds our portion and our future, what is good and best for us, and no human effort, challenge, or crisis can overturn God’s divine plan to provide what is good, right, and just for all people.
Reflection
During this Lenten season and in every season that follows, may we remain “Secure” in the truth that God is enough. God is our source of hope, stability, confidence, and peace, even in uncertain times. Where am I placing my sense of security, in temporary circumstances or in God’s unchanging promises? How can I intentionally rest in the assurance that God is holding my portion and guiding my future today?
Call to Action
☀️Declare today: “I am “Secure” in God’s love and provision.”
☀️Release any fear or uncertainty into God’s hands through prayer.
☀️Trust the Holy Spirit’s guidance in every decision you face today.
☀️Reflect on Psalm 16:5 and meditate on God as your portion.
☀️Walk in “Secure” confidence, knowing God’s plan for you is good.
Pray
Gracious and loving God, thank You for being my secure source of hope and peace. I declare that I am secure in You, in Your love, Your promises, and Your divine plan for my life. Help me to trust You fully, even when life feels uncertain. Guide me through the Holy Spirit to walk in wisdom and confidence today. Remind me that my portion is in You and that You hold my future securely in Your hands. Strengthen my faith so that I may live each day with bold assurance, honoring You in all that I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
