Word for Today – Rebuild
Scripture:
“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.” — Isaiah 58:12 (NIV)
Devotion:Rebuild – Repairers of the Breach
Today, I reflect on what it means to “Rebuild.” With God’s help, I seek to practice true righteousness, justice, and compassion, virtues that allow me to make a positive difference each day in Jesus’ name. I thank God for this new day and for this intentional time to “Rebuild,” reflect, and renew in God’s presence. Each moment spent with God is an opportunity to strengthen my spirit so I can be sent into the world guided by the Holy Spirit. Through God’s power, I can help mend social, spiritual, and physical gaps, serving as an agent of God’s healing wherever I am. May we be those who choose to “Rebuild,” repair, and build up as God’s repairers of the breach, helping the broken become whole.
Reflection:
As the remaining days of Lent draw to a close, let us seek ways to “Rebuild” by actively restoring what has been damaged in our world. Let us use our God-given gifts to strengthen communities, uplift others, and reflect Christ’s love in all we do. Rebuilding is not just about restoring what’s broken—it’s about aligning ourselves with God’s purpose to bring healing, unity, and hope. Every act of kindness, forgiveness, and love contributes to this holy work. Where might God be calling you to repair and rebuild today?
