Holy Tuesday – Word For Today – Temple
Scripture
“I tell you, something greater than the temple is here.” Matthew 12:6 ESV
Devotion – The Living Temple
Today, during this Holy Week reflection on Holy Tuesday, I focus on the word “Temple” as I recognize Christ’s authority. Jesus taught with boldness and revealed His divine power as the true “Temple” of God. I trust in God’s authority over every circumstance in my life, and I am deeply grateful. Through the birth, life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus, and through the continuing guidance of the Holy Spirit, God dwells among humanity. God’s presence, glory, and revelation continue to shine daily for all who seek, trust, and believe. Jesus is the greater “Temple,” raised after death, three days later, by the power of God. This truth reminds us that no force could stop God’s divine purpose. Christ established His eternal authority and revealed that God is not distant, but present, living and active, reigning on earth as it is in heaven..
Reflection
As we draw nearer to Resurrection Day and Easter, may we embody God’s presence as the human “Temple,” revealing the hope, love, power, and grace of Jesus Christ in our daily interactions. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Where do I recognize God’s presence in my life today? Am I living as a reflection of God’s dwelling place through my thoughts, words, and actions? How can I honor Christ’s authority in every area of my life?
