Word For Today – Cleanse

Scripture
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9 (ESV)

Devotion – Cleanse: Restored by Grace
Today I reflect on the spiritual meaning of “Cleanse.” I hold fast to the truth that God, through Christ and the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit, is faithful and just to forgive and “Cleanse,” restoring me to right relationship with God.  Let us rely on God’s power to “Cleanse” our hearts and minds. God is faithful, just, and completely reliable, always keeping God’s promise to forgive in Jesus’ name. As we confess our sins, we can shift from guilt to gratitude, receiving God’s grace and extending that same grace to others.

Reflection
What areas of my heart need to be brought before God for cleansing today? Am I holding on to guilt that God has already forgiven? How can I live in the freedom of being fully cleansed and restored?

Call to Action
☀️Confess
honestly to God anything weighing on your heart.
☀️Release guilt and receive God’s “Cleanse” forgiveness with gratitude.
☀️Spend time in prayer, inviting the Holy Spirit to renew your mind.
☀️Extend grace and forgiveness to someone else today.
☀️Walk in confidence, knowing you are restored through Christ.

Pray
Gracious and loving God, thank You for Your faithfulness to forgive and cleanse me. I confess my sins before You and receive Your mercy with a grateful heart. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Help me to walk in freedom, extending grace to others as You have given to me. Through Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, I am restored. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
