 Word For Today – Lifted

Scripture
“Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.” Psalm 24:7 ESV

Devotion – Lifted Up in Glory
Today, I celebrate and reflect on what it means to be “Lifted.” I acknowledge that God is to be “Lifted” up and welcomed into this new day. When God is “Lifted” up in my life, new possibilities open before me, possibilities to walk in God’s divine authority and majesty through Jesus Christ.  Let us open the gates and doors of our hearts to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. May every barrier of fear, sin, and pride that blocks the flow of God’s love be broken down today. As we intentionally lift God higher in our lives, we create space for God’s presence to dwell richly within us, guiding our steps and transforming our hearts.

Reflection
May God be “Lifted” up in our thoughts, words, and actions. May God’s power and presence fill every part of our day with glory and grace.What areas of my life need to “Lift” God higher today?  Are there doors in my heart that I have kept closed to God’s presence?  How can I intentionally invite the King of glory into every moment of my day?

Call to Action
🌅Begin your day by intentionally praising and lifting God in prayer.
🌅Identify and release anything blocking God’s presence.
🌅Speak words that reflect God’s glory and goodness today.
🌅Invite the Holy Spirit to guide your decisions and interactions.
🌅Encourage someone else to lift their heart toward God today.

Pray
Gracious and Glorious God, Today I lift You up and welcome You into every part of my life. Open the gates of my heart and remove anything that stands in the way of Your presence. Break down every barrier of fear, sin, and pride, and fill me with Your glory and grace. Help me to honor You in my thoughts, my words, and my actions. May my life reflect Your majesty and draw others closer to You. Holy Spirit, guide me, lead me, and empower me to walk in Your truth today.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
