Word For Today – Prepared
Scripture
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10 ESV
Devotion – Prepared for Purpose
Today, take time to reflect on what it truly means to be “Prepared.” We are created in God’s image, intentionally formed and redeemed through our salvation in Christ Jesus, “Prepared” to make a positive difference in the new life in Christ. God has already “Prepared” a purposeful path for each of us, filled with divine appointments waiting to be embraced. Our call is to follow God’s lead rather than trying to create our own flawed path apart from God. Let us live out our salvation as prepared people—recipients of God’s grace, not by our works, but through a faith that naturally bears fruit in a life of service and purpose.
Reflection
Being “Prepared” is not about striving harder; it is about trusting deeper. God has already gone before us, arranging opportunities, connections, and moments where His love can flow through us. When we align our hearts with Him, we begin to recognize that every step we take in obedience is part of a divine plan. Ask yourself: Am I walking in what God has already prepared, or am I trying to create my own path? Today is an invitation to trust God’s preparation and step forward with faith and confidence.

🌅Choose to follow God’s direction instead of relying on your own understanding.
🌅Be attentive to divine appointments, moments to serve, encourage, or share love.
🌅Walk confidently, knowing you are God’s workmanship, created with purpose.

Pray
Gracious and Loving God, Thank You for creating me with intention and purpose. I am grateful that You have already prepared good works for me to walk in. Help me to trust Your plan and not lean on my own understanding. Open my eyes to see the opportunities You place before me today, and give me the courage to step into them with faith. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, words, and actions so that I may reflect Your love in all I do. Let my life bear fruit that brings glory to You and blesses others. Thank You for going before me and preparing the way. I surrender this day to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
