Word For Today – Beloved

Scripture
“As indeed he says in Hosea, ‘Those who were not my people I will call “my people,” and her who was not beloved I will call “beloved.”’” Romans 9:25 ESV

Devotion – Called Beloved
Today, I pause to reflect and rest in the truth that I am God’s “Beloved,” in Jesus’ name. My salvation as God’s “Beloved” is not earned by human effort, but is a gift rooted in God’s power, grace, and mercy, an unmerited expression of God’s love. Thanks be to God!  On this new day, let us remember that being called God’s “Beloved” is an invitation to spiritual transformation available to all. Regardless of background or past, God draws those who were once distant and estranged into God’s covenant family, calling us God’s own “Beloved.”  As God’s “Beloved,” and guided daily by the Holy Spirit, may we actively participate in God’s mission, reaching those who do not yet know God.

Reflection
Let us with confidence, reach others knowing that God has the power to transform anyone into God’s “Beloved” people.What does it mean to truly live as God’s Beloved today? Consider how embracing God’s love can transform the way you see yourself and others. Are there areas in your life where you still feel unworthy or distant? Invite God into those spaces and receive His truth, that you are fully loved, chosen, and called His own.

Call to Action
💖Reflect on God’s unconditional love and declare, “I am God’s Beloved.”
💖Release any feelings of unworthiness and embrace God’s grace.
💖Extend love and compassion to someone who may feel overlooked or unseen.
💖Spend time in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to deepen your identity in Christ.
💖Share the message of God’s love with someone today.

Pray
Gracious and Loving God,
Thank You for calling me Your Beloved. I am humbled and grateful that Your love is not something I earn, but a gift freely given through Your grace and mercy. Help me to fully receive and walk in this truth today.  Holy Spirit, guide me to live as one who is deeply loved, chosen, and called by You. Transform my heart and mind so that I may reflect Your love to others. Use me as an instrument of Your peace, reaching those who feel distant or forgotten, so they too may know they are Your Beloved. Strengthen my faith, renew my spirit, and remind me daily of my identity in You. I give You all glory, honor, and praise.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
