Word For Today – Blessing

Scripture
“The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of sense. The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10:21–22 ESV

Devotion – Speaking and Living in Blessing
Today, I reflect on the power of a “Blessing.” I thank God for the “Blessing” of a new day, in Jesus’ name, and I step into this new week with anticipation, trusting in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Speaking a “Blessing” over my week which nourishes my soul and directs my path. As I declare God’s presence and God’s wise Word, I am empowered to face each new day with faith and confidence.  I choose to speak “Blessing” into my life, today and every day. May this day and week be filled with divine “Blessing,” providing spiritual, intellectual, and emotional nourishment. May it bring “Blessing,” guidance, encouragement, and truth as we seek not only to be encouraged in the Lord, but also to encourage others.

Reflection
Through our words and actions, we become vessels of God’s “Blessing” feeding many with life-giving truth and love.  What words are you speaking over your life and your week? Are they aligned with God’s truth and blessing, or shaped by fear and uncertainty? Today is an opportunity to realign your voice with God’s promises and to intentionally bless others through your words.

Call to Action
📣Speak a blessing over your day before you begin your tasks.
📣Declare God’s promises aloud over your life and circumstances.
📣Offer a word of encouragement or blessing to someone today.
📣Replace negative or doubtful thoughts with God’s truth.
📣Trust the Holy Spirit to guide your words and actions throughout the week.

Pray
Gracious God,
Thank You for the blessing of this new day and this new week. In Jesus’ name, I receive Your goodness, Your guidance, and Your peace. Teach me to speak words that bring life, encouragement, and truth. Let my lips reflect Your wisdom and my heart be aligned with Your will. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I may walk in confidence and share Your blessings with others. May my life be a testimony of Your grace, and may Your blessing flow through me to nourish and uplift those around me.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
