Word For Today – Lift
Scripture
“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” — Psalm 121:1–2 (ESV)
Devotion – Lift Your Eyes to the Lord
Today, I reflect on what it means to “Lift” my eyes, seeking God’s presence daily with thanksgiving, anticipation, and praise. As I “Lift” my eyes upward, I declare my trust in God, in Jesus’ name. In a world filled with distractions and uncertainties, choosing to “Lift” my eyes is a spiritual discipline, an intentional act of focusing on God rather than my circumstances. Through the guidance and prompting of the Holy Spirit, I am reminded that true protection and strength come from God alone, not from earthly resources or human ability. God is our source, our sustainer, and our ever-present help. When we “Lift” our eyes, we shift our perspective from worry to worship, from fear to faith. May we continually “Lift” our eyes toward the One who lifts us, protects us, and remains our tireless Helper.
Reflection
God is always watching over us, never weary, never distant, always faithful. What are you focusing on today, your challenges or your God? How can intentionally lifting your eyes to the Lord change your outlook, your attitude, and your response to what you face?
