“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 ESV
Devotion – Renewed by God’s Strength
Today I reflect on the meaning of “Strength,” the kind that comes from relying on God to renew me each day. When I intentionally pause, focus, and wait on God, in Jesus’ name, I begin my day with hope. That hope becomes the “Strength” and willingness I need to face whatever comes my way. As I lean into the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I am reminded that God faithfully provides the “Strength” to overcome obstacles. God empowers me to be a living example of God’s “Strength” through my thoughts, words, and actions. Let us find strength by beginning this day in the presence of God through prayer, reflection, and devotion. In God, through Christ, and by the daily prompting of the Holy Spirit, we are renewed. When we trust God, we are given the “Strength” to keep moving forward without growing weary and to remain steady and faithful without giving up.
Reflection
As we wait on the Lord, we are spiritually refreshed and empowered to continue the journey with faith, endurance, and hope. Where do you need God’s strength most today? Take a moment to pause in God’s presence and allow the Holy Spirit to renew your heart, mind, and spirit. Remember that true “Strength” is not found in our own abilities, but in trusting God completely.

Pray
Gracious God, thank You for being my source of strength and renewal. In Jesus’ name, help me to wait patiently on You and trust Your guidance through the Holy Spirit. When I feel weary, restore my heart and mind with Your peace and power. Strengthen me to face every challenge with faith, courage, and perseverance. Let my life reflect Your love and strength in all I say and do. Thank You for sustaining me, renewing me, and walking beside me each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
