The Word For Today – Commit
Scripture
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.”
Psalm 37:5 ESV
Devotion – Fully Committed to God’s Plan
Today I reflect on what it means to fully “Commit” my life to God. I thank God for the gift of a new day, and I surrender control of my plans, my desires, and my direction to God, in Jesus’ name. I choose to be attentive and responsive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I “Commit” to God’s way, trusting God to direct my path. I “Commit” to rely on God’s wisdom and depend completely on God’s strength. I release my need to control outcomes and instead place my confidence in God’s perfect will. Sometimes life does not unfold according to our expectations, yet God remains faithful in every season. God sees beyond what we can see and knows what is best for our lives. Let us all “Commit” to God’s promises, trusting that God will intervene and work everything out according to God’s perfect plan and timing, even when the outcome does not look like we expected. Trust that God will faithfully guide our steps. Let us commit ourselves to God is not weakness; it is an act of faith, trust, and obedience.
Reflection
As we surrender our fears, doubts, and uncertainties to God, we make room for peace, clarity, and spiritual growth. What area of your life are you still trying to control instead of surrendering fully to God? How might your life change if you trusted God’s direction completely today?

Pray
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of this new day. Today I choose to fully commit my life, my plans, and my future into Your hands. Teach me to trust You completely and to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit with faith and obedience. Help me to release fear, doubt, and the need to control outcomes. Strengthen my heart to depend on Your wisdom and not my own understanding. Guide my steps according to Your perfect will and timing. Thank You for being faithful in every season of life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
