Devotion – Strength That Comes From the Lord
Today I reflect on the word “Strength” and what it means to be strong in the Lord. I thank God, through Jesus Christ, for the gift of a new day and for the divine “Strength” that God freely provides. True “Strength” is not found in our own abilities, talents, or determination, but in trusting God’s mighty power to sustain us through every spiritual and moral battle we encounter. Life often presents circumstances that test our faith, challenge our endurance, and remind us of our human limitations. Yet God never intended for us to face life’s struggles alone. Instead, God invites us to draw near and rely upon divine strength that never weakens, never fails, and never runs out. When we surrender our fears, burdens, and uncertainties to Christ, God fills us with courage, perseverance, and peace that surpasses human understanding. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to stand firm in the faith, confident that our “Strength” flows from a personal relationship with Christ rather than our own efforts. Through Christ and by the daily guidance and empowering presence of the Holy Spirit, we are equipped to resist temptation, overcome discouragement, love others faithfully, and remain steadfast in our witness to the world. When we feel weak, God remains strong. When we are uncertain, God remains faithful. May we choose today to lean fully upon the Lord, knowing that God’s strength is sufficient for every assignment, every decision, every obstacle, and every new opportunity that awaits us.
Reflection
Today, let us remember that every challenge becomes an opportunity to experience God’s power at work within us. Where do I tend to rely on my own strength instead of trusting in God’s power? How can I intentionally depend upon the Holy Spirit today to strengthen my faith, my words, and my actions?

Pray
Gracious and Almighty God, Thank You for being my unfailing source of strength. I praise You for the gift of this new day and for the assurance that I never have to face life’s challenges alone. When I grow weary, remind me that Your strength is greater than my weakness. When fear arises, fill me with courage through the power of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, words, and actions today. Help me to stand firm in faith, resist temptation, and faithfully live as a witness to Your grace and truth. Teach me to depend upon Your strength rather than my own understanding, and may my life reflect the power, peace, and steadfast love of Christ. Strengthen me to serve others with compassion, to persevere through every trial, and to glorify You in all that I do. May everything I accomplish today be done through Your power and for Your glory. In the strong and mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
