Devotion – Hearing God’s Voice, Growing in Faith
Today I reflect on the word “Hearing.” I am grateful for the saving faith that was awakened in me through “Hearing” and receiving the Good News of Jesus Christ. Faith is not something we create on our own; it is nurtured as we hear God’s Word, embrace its truth, and allow it to transform our hearts through the power of the Holy Spirit. Each day, God continues to speak through Scripture, prayer, worship, and the quiet prompting of the Holy Spirit. As we intentionally make time to listen, we become more attentive to God’s guidance and more responsive to God’s call. “Hearing” God’s Word is more than listening with our ears, it is receiving God’s truth with open hearts and allowing it to shape our thoughts, words, and actions. As we continue to hear the truth of God’s Word and follow the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are strengthened to walk in confidence and to share God’s message of hope, love, peace, and justice with others. Our lives become living testimonies of God’s transforming grace, encouraging those around us to seek Christ and trust God’s promises.Through faithful listening, our trust deepens, our understanding grows, and we are equipped to live as faithful witnesses of the Good News of Jesus Christ wherever God leads us today.
Reflection
Let us intentionally cultivate the daily habit of truly “Hearing” God’s Word. What voices have been competing for your attention lately? Today, choose to quiet the distractions and intentionally listen for God’s voice through Scripture and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As you hear God’s Word, allow it to strengthen your faith and direct your steps. Every moment spent listening to God prepares you to live with greater wisdom, compassion, and purpose.

Pray
Gracious and Loving God, thank You for the gift of Your living Word and for the saving faith that comes through hearing the Good News of Jesus Christ. Open my ears to hear Your voice above every distraction and open my heart to receive Your truth with humility and joy. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, my decisions, and my daily walk so that my life reflects the hope, love, peace, and justice of Christ. Strengthen my faith as I continue to hear and obey Your Word, and help me become a faithful witness who encourages others to trust in You. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
