“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV
Devotion – Walking by Faith, Not by Sight
Today, I reflect on the word “Faith.” In this new day, I choose to live by “Faith” in God. In Jesus’ name and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can live beyond what we physically see or experience around us. To walk by “Faith” is to trust God’s Word and rest in God’s unchanging character. “Faith” believes that God is good, faithful, and continually working for our ultimate good, even when circumstances are difficult or the way ahead is unclear. Walking by “Faith” does not mean ignoring reality; it means refusing to allow temporary troubles, fears, disappointments, or physical limitations to define God or determine our future. What we see today is not the limit of what God can do tomorrow. So, let us keep walking, trusting, praying, and believing, by “Faith” and not by sight.
Reflection
Faith reminds us that our circumstances may change, but God’s character does not. When we cannot see the whole path, we can still trust the One who walks with us. What situation am I viewing only through what I can see, and how is God inviting me to view it through the eyes of faith?
Call to Action
👣Trust God with one situation you cannot fully understand today.
👣Speak faith instead of allowing fear to control your thoughts or words.
👣Pray for the Holy Spirit to help you see beyond your present circumstances.
👣Remember a time when you walked by “Faith” and God was faithful.
👣Take one step of “Faith” toward what God is calling you to do today.
Pray
Gracious God, thank You for the gift of this new day. In Jesus’ name, strengthen my Faith and help me walk according to Your Word rather than what I see around me. When circumstances are uncertain, remind me that You are certain. When fear tries to take control, fill me with the peace and assurance of Your Holy Spirit. Help me trust Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and Your perfect wisdom. Give me courage to take the next step even when I cannot see the entire journey. May my life demonstrate a faith that trusts You through every challenge, celebrates You in every blessing, and confidently believes that You are still working. Today, I choose to walk by Faith, not by sight. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
