Word For Today – Faithful
Scripture:
“His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’”
Matthew 25:21 ESV
Devotion – Faithful in the Little Things
Today, I reflect on the word “Faithful.” I thank God for this new day, in Jesus’ name, and for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because God is faithful, we can faithfully use the time, skills, gifts, and resources God has entrusted to us. Faithfulness is demonstrated through everyday choices, kindness, obedience, integrity, generosity, and doing what is right even when no one is watching. God sees our faithfulness in the little things and prepares us for greater responsibility. Yet our greatest reward is not what God places in our hands, but the joy of growing closer to God.
Reflection
Faithfulness is not measured only by great accomplishments. It is revealed in our daily willingness to honor God with what we already have. Today, may we recognize every opportunity, responsibility, relationship, gift, and resource as something entrusted to us by our faithful God. Am I being faithful with what God has already entrusted to me?
