Word For Today – Workmanship
Scripture
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”Ephesians 2:10 ESV
Devotion – Created With Purpose
Today, I reflect on the word “Workmanship.” I thank God for the gift of a new day and the opportunity to live as God’s workmanship, created with purpose in Christ Jesus. Guided by the Holy Spirit, may our thoughts, words, and actions reflect God’s love. The good works God prepares for us are often found in ordinary moments—showing kindness, serving others, remaining faithful, offering encouragement, and sharing the Gospel. As God’s workmanship, our transformed lives should reveal Christ in how we treat others, face challenges, and faithfully walk in God’s purpose.
Reflection
God created you intentionally and purposefully. You are God’s workmanship—uniquely created in Christ Jesus to make a difference. What good work might God have already prepared for you to do today?
Call to Action
👏🏾Embrace your purpose: Remember that you are God’s “Workmanship.”
👏🏾Follow the Holy Spirit: Ask the Spirit to guide your thoughts, words, and actions.
👏🏾Serve faithfully: Use your gifts to encourage, help, and bless someone today.
👏🏾Reflect Christ: Let your life point others toward Jesus and the transforming power.
👏🏾Look for opportunities: Notice the ordinary moments where you can demonstrate love, kindness, and grace.
Pray
Gracious God, thank You for the gift of this new day and for reminding me that I am Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. Thank You for creating me intentionally, uniquely, and with purpose. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, words, decisions, and actions today. Help me recognize the opportunities You have already prepared for me to love, serve, encourage, and share the Gospel. May I never overlook the importance of ordinary acts of kindness and faithfulness. Transform my life so that others may see the love and grace of Jesus Christ through me. May everything I do today bring glory and honor to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
