“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”  Lamentations 3:22–23 ESV

Devotion – New Mercies, Every Morning!
Today, I reflect on the word “Mercies.” I thank God for God’s unfailing love, compassion, and favor that sustain me through every season. God’s mercies never expire, diminish, or run out. Each morning brings fresh grace, forgiveness, and strength for whatever lies ahead. Through Jesus Christ and the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit, we experience God’s faithfulness and find assurance in God’s promises. Regardless of yesterday’s struggles or today’s uncertainties, God’s mercies remain our refuge and hope. As believers, we can face each new day with gratitude and confidence, knowing we are continually covered by God’s everlasting “Mercies.”

Reflection
Every new morning is a reminder of God’s faithfulness and an invitation to begin again. Yesterday’s struggles do not determine today’s possibilities when God’s “Mercies” are renewed daily.  How can I embrace God’s new “Mercies” today and extend that same compassion, grace, and forgiveness to others?

Call to Action
☀️Give Thanks: Begin your day thanking God for God’s renewed “Mercies.”
☀️Receive God’s Grace: Release yesterday’s regrets, worries, and disappointments.
☀️Trust God’s Faithfulness: Remember that God’s promises remain steadfast.
☀️Extend Mercy: Show someone compassion, kindness, patience, or forgiveness.
☀️Walk in Confidence: Follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance, trusting God’s “Mercies” to sustain you throughout the day.

Pray
Gracious and Merciful God, thank You for the gift of another day and for Your mercies that are new every morning. I praise You for Your steadfast love, endless compassion, and unwavering faithfulness. Thank You for sustaining me through life’s challenges and surrounding me with Your grace and favor. Forgive my shortcomings and help me release yesterday’s burdens as I embrace today’s blessings. In Jesus’ name, strengthen my faith and renew my hope. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, words, decisions, and actions so that my life reflects God’s love and mercy. Teach me to extend compassion, forgiveness, and kindness to others, just as You continually show mercy to me. Whatever this day brings, remind me that Your mercies never fail, Your promises remain true, and Your presence is always near. With a grateful heart, I trust You today and always. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
